Hi Jessica - Morning coffee is one of my favorite times of the day, too :) Especially on the weekends when I can sit and enjoy it! Hope yours was a start to a relaxing Sunday.
As I was meandering through the foody blog world, I happily stumbled upon yours. I have enjoyed reading your creative recipes and insightful descriptions into a healthier and tastier way to eat. I agree with you, there is nothing like a good farmers market. I just finished making a quinoa salad with fresh veggies and a lemon dressing. D'lish. Well, I look forward to visiting your palate again for some inspiration as I continue my exploration into the beauty of healthy, wholesome, and just yummy grub. All the best to you.
Brad! How great to hear from you! Glad you found my little blog - and thank you for your very kind words! Your quinoa salad sounds delicious (I am a wee bit obsessed with quinoa myself, so if you notice I mention it here a lot, that explains it). What are you doing these days?!? Still yoga-ing and juicing up a storm, I hope :)
Oh yes. Doing hot yoga frequently and eating lots of veggies, beans and grains. Somewhat of a contemporary macrobiotic diet (although with slight indulgences here and there... for the kid in me). I have found many different kinds of Chinese greens at a market near me to be unusual, yet quite good. So needless to say I like Chinese markets as a means of adding variety to the traditional American market selection. I am currently living in south Florida, so we get a lot of good tropical produce to choose from which is nice.
Looks like you are enjoying the city life. A place I really do miss. Have fun and enjoy your day.
Brad, do I sense a contemporary macrobiotics blog in your future?! Count me among your readers, for sure. Awesome that you're back in Florida, I can imagine all the amazing produce available to you, especially the fruits. A bit jealous I must admit.
nice to read this as I am sitting drinking my morning coffee..from my coffee press to :) I find it to be one of the best times of my day
